The defendant walks by, sees the car door is open, gets into the vehicle and drives away. As he was driving away the police stop him and charge him with motor vehicle theft. Does the defendant have a good entrapment defense? Would it make a difference if the police were looking specifically at this defendant and left the car in the street outside his house?
