Select two leadership styles covered in the module that approach leadership in different (almost contradictory) ways. Compare and contrast both leadership styles and how they apply (or do not apply) in a public safety organization. Answer the following questions:
• Can different leadership styles that appear to be contradictory approaches be used effectively in the same organization? Why or why not?
• How do they impact each other?
• Which appears to be more effective? Least effective? Why?
• Give examples from your own experiences or observations that illustrate the use of these leadership styles.
