· Give your thesis (a thesis is composed of a topic and at least three key points)
· Give an informal outline of how your essay (list at least two details that will be presented in the introduction and at least two details that will be presented in each body paragraph)
· Discuss ways you'll draw your audience into your paper from the beginning (how will you start off your essay so that it is interesting? Will you use a short story or a shocking fact, for example?)
