This assignment is your mini fieldwork activity You will need to do focused observation and interviews as your first attempt at doing first hand data gathering Remember to inform the owner of the business that you are doing this assignment Get their consent to observe and of course tell them why you are interviewing them Plan ahead You can choose to visit the North End district of Boston or Chinatown Chelsea around BHCC Chelsea campus or Dorchester Vietnamese area South End Quincy Market You may need to spend about 2 hours to complete this data gathering activity Focus on the business establishments in the area particularly the restaurants and retail food outlets example specialty cheese shop or pastry shop in North End Chinese or Vietnamese grocery store in Chinatown fresh poultry store in Chinatown
