Grief is the cycle with different stages. It is common for people to move back and forth erratically through these stages or even go through the complete cycle several times. It is important to remember that each individual moves through the stages at different speeds, frequencies and intensity.

Describe carefully the grief cycle using examples wherever possible to explain your understanding of the cycle.

Question 3:

It is significant to show people that you’re paying close attention, which you care, and which you’re actively listening. The better the helper listens, the more the individual may share.

Illustrate out the attitudes and skills which the Counsellor must use to show that he/she is paying attention.

Question 4:

It is believed that the grief experience impacts all aspects of being of individual.

Illustrate out carefully any one of the following reactions which an individual might experience in relation to grief: Behavioural reactions; Physical reactions; emotional reactions; cognitive reactions; spiritual/philosophical reactions.

Question 5:

Discuss and illustrate out the gender issues in bereavement. Is there anything like masculine or feminine in processing a loss event?
