Tasks:
- Each group is expected to write a 2000 words report (references, appendices etc. not included) on the economic development over a period of ten years (2005-2015) of any of the following GCC countries:
a) Bahrain;
b) Kuwait;
c) Qatar;
d) Saudi Arabia;
e) UAE; and
f) Oman.
Students should mainly focus on the three economic sectors (primary, secondary, and the tertiary), and participation of the selected country in any trade agreement.
Main findings will be presented orally through a Power Point presentation.
NB: Statistical data is needed to support discussion.
- Students are also required to fill out and submit a group assignment diary (a template will be provided by the faculty).
Written Report
The student will write a report on the following:
1. Content:

Primary sector, Secondary sector, Tertiary sector, Trade agreement,

2. Format,
3. Grammar and spelling,
Presentation
Student should present within 15 minutes, plus 5 minutes for
Questions and Answers.
Marking Scheme:
1. Format, structure and logic of the presentation (slides)
2. Understanding of respective part
3. Ability to present the results effectively
4. Clarity and conciseness of results presented
5. Language skills
6. Creativity (making presentation interesting for the audience
7. Communication with other members
8. Answering questions
