Abstract
The future of NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) corps depends largely on how they are able to handle ethical issues that face them. Since their emergence in the year 1775, they have been more than crucial in ensuring that the US maintains its dominance at the world stage in terms of military prowess.
However, the contested ethical issue of women in combat roles is going to be critical for the NCO corps because they are in charge of ensuring the readiness of warriors headed for combat and providing guidance during the actual fighting period. Therefore, they have a lot to weigh in this ethical conundrum that has left many female soldiers dissatisfied with the army.
The solution is to get rid of outdated ideas in terms of military composition and, instead, learn from many European nations, which have embraced modern ways of thinking.
Discriminating against women based on gender is an unethical act and should come to an end if NCO corps are to stand the test of time and conquer the future.
