By computer network we mean an interconnected set of autonomous computer. The term autonomous implies that the computers can function independent from others.
The definition of networking is actually quite simple. A network is simply a collection of computer or other hardware devices that the are connected together either physically or logically, using special hardware and software, to allow them to exchange information and cooperate.
