From time to time, a particular company is vilified in the press for engaging in questionable business practices, such as accounting fraud or insider trading. Other businesses receive bad press for other misconduct, such as damaging the environment. Clearly, there are some corporate actions that make companies very unpopular with the public. Are there actions that can make a company popular instead? What sort of personality traits should a truly admirable company exhibit? Give your own definition of a model company and support that definition with reasons and examples from your experiences, observations or reading.
