Francis Net, a freshman in college and a computer expert spends hours on the computer each day browsing websites. She decides that she can make a fortune registering domain names and then selling them. She recently sees an advertisement for Classic Coke. Classic Coke is a product of Coca Cola which has been trademarked by them. They have spent millions of dollars promoting the product and in use of the trademark. Francis goes to a domain name registration site and registers www.classiccoke.com. Coca Cola decides to register the domain classic coke but when it checks the registry, it discovers that Francis already owns the domain name. Francis demands $500,000 for the release of the name. Coca Cola sues her. Who wins? What can be recovered by the winning party?
