Fraction of the electrons initial kinetic energy

The electron with a speed of 5.83 x 108 cm/s enters into an electric field of magnitude 4.92 x 103 N/C, traveling all along the field in the direction which retards its motion. (i) Explain how far in meters will the electron move in the field before stopping momentarily and (ii) how much time will have gone? (iii) If the area containing the electric field is 4.98 mm long (too short for the electron to stop in it), and what fraction of the electron's initial kinetic energy will be vanished in that area?
