Building Inclusive Communities: Fostering School Culture and Supporting Diverse Learners Presentation
Candidates will create a recorded PowerPoint with audio presentation on building an inclusive school community. They will use course readings, current research, and articles that reflect on the process of building an inclusive school community and incorporate it into their presentation.

Planning Phase:
Candidates will plan for an engaging, and interactive "Back-to-School Meeting". The target audience for the presentation will be the school's faculty. Presentation will be based on an Instructional Model and on school data. They will include research to support their presentation. Candidates will develop a slide presentation with audio where they record themselves delivering the presentation. They will also provide speaker notes in the form of bulleted list or narrative guide in each slide that includes citations of resources used for reference. Need Assignment Help?

Candidates will gather the following data:
Student Demographic Profile: number of students by subgroups-English as a second language (ESL), gifted and talented (GT), special education, 504, career and technical education, etc.)

Presentation Development:
Candidates will use Microsoft Power Point to design presentation with audio and speaker notes.

Create two engaging "Getting-to-know-you" "Back-to-School" activities that communicate the importance of relationship building as related to the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Chosen Instructional Model (SIOP®, UDL, CRT, DI), its anticipated benefits for targeted student groups, and modeling for how to use it
Close with an interactive activity where staff can practice the application of the Instructional Model
Survey/Feedback Form- directions and at least five questions aligned with the session objectives, content, and activities
