The main goal of many law and policy journals is to foster awareness of issues and trends within the field. In addition, journals facilitate the scholarly exchange of ideas in a way that few other outlets are capable of doing. This promotes theoretical and legal dialogue among policymakers, scholars, and other stakeholders in legal research. It is for this reason that academic journals serve as great resources when trying to understand policy shifts and trends.
Write a brief description of at least one policy shift or trend you might be able to predict based on your research in any of the academic journals. Then explain two implications of the shift or trend on federal, state, and/or local law. Be specific.
