Options Menu: Forum In this module, we covered the principal aspects of demand management. Essentially, we studied concepts related to (1) how to predict demand patterns, (2) how to influence customer ordering patterns, and (3) strategies for syncing supply with demand. For our discussion, let's brainstorm a bit: Suppose that our supply chain sells food products to a fast food franchise. What strategies would you recommend, or what strategies have you observed, that could be used manage or control the three concepts listed above? In other words, how could you control what and when they order certain items? Remember that, in order to maintain minimal safety stock, we need stable, predictable demand patterns from our customers, as well as real-time data exchange between the two organizations.
