Formulate a recruiting strategy

Problem:

Read the scenario below and formulate a recruiting strategy. You may draw on learning from your materials this week, and you are encouraged to do further research to bring in additional sources of information as well.

Overview:

You are the new HR Recruiter for Synergy International. You were brought in for your successful experience as a recruiter in the technology field and for your up-to-date knowledge on how to source diverse candidates and potential employees who are skilled in working in distributed workforce environments. Your manager has shared three issues that need your immediate attention: Need Assignment Help?

Like many technology companies, Synergy International has found it difficult to recruit women and underrepresented groups. Other recruiters on the team have shared that while all technology companies struggle with market supply for diverse technology professionals, another factor impeding diversity is that Synergy has not been creative in its sourcing strategies. There has been heavy reliance on job boards. You will need to generate new approaches and new sources of recruitment to bring in more diversity.

Distributed workforce arrangements are new to the company, meaning that many of the employees currently working in these roles have had a steep learning curve. It will be important to bring in talent who are already skilled in this modality for work to strengthen teams. Your manager heard that there are a few employees and managers at Synergy who have deep experience in distributed workforce practices, because they came from other technology companies who had been using this modality for some time.

Because of the overreliance on job boards, you will need to identify some new avenues for recruitment in general and new technologies that may be useful for sourcing.
