Formation of proteins-peptide bond:
Proteins are made by joining the carboxyl group of one amino acid to the α-amino group of other amino acid. The bond build among two amino acids by the removal of a water molecule is known as a peptide linkage or bond. The peptide bond is just another name for amide bond.
