Assignment: Media Research Paper
Length: 3-4 Pages
For this paper, you will research an area of Media that interests you. You will use two sources (minimum) to formulate your research and thesis.
Although this is a short paper, you should spend some time learning about the topic you've chosen, and explaining the history, current trends, challenges, etc. depending on the area you chose.
Some examples of areas of media for this type of paper include:
TV genres - From sitcoms to reality, choose an area to focus on and ask: how do they match ‘reality', do they change our perception?
Other areas include Radio, Internet regulation, Effects of Bloggers on News, "Fake News", Bias in Reporting, Marketing to Children , etc.
The topics are numerous, considering how many areas of ‘mass media' there are. Focus on something you are interested in, research it with at least two sources, and write 2-3 pages of your findings, beginning with your thesis/main idea.
Make sure proper grammar and mechanics are used - proofread before submitting.
