For each heart valve -give the full names of the valve

Cardiovascular ASSIGNMENT

1. For each heart valve: -give the full name(s) of the valve,

- describe the direction of blood flow through the valve,

- the anatomical structure of the valve, and-the phases of the cardiac cycle (e.g., atrial systole) during which the valve is open and closed.

2. Draw a flow chart of the route that blood would have to take to pass through the anterior interventricular branch of the left coronary artery (also known as the anterior interventricular artery) and other coronary vessels, in the systemic circuit, as well as the subsequent route of blood flow through the pulmonary circuit. (Note: this should not be an anatomical drawing of the heart!).

• The flow chart must begin & finish at the Ascending Aorta.

• The blood must pass through the anterior interventricular artery, enroute to the myocardial capillaries, etc.

• Do not include alternate routes through the systemic circuit.
