Assignment Instructions - You will do the following steps:
1) Pick one of the following overall topics. Use the name of this topic as the title for your post.
a. Nutrition and the Gut Microbiome
b. Nutrition, Inflammation and the Gut Microbiome
2) Develop a research question, using the PICO format.

Write your question at the beginning of your original posting.
3) After developing your research question, find *THREE* peer-reviewed original research articles that help answer your question.
For each article do the following:
1. State the purpose of the research study.
2. Briefly describe: the experimental design (e.g., randomized, double-blind placebo controlled trial); population studied (e.g., age, race, gender, health condition); overall methods (e.g., what outcomes did they assess); one to two key results.
3. State the conclusion(s) of the author(s).
4) The final section of your paper will include the following. Write an overall summary that integrates and synthesizes the results of the articles that you found. View this summary as if the 3 articles that you used were the ONLY information available to answer your research question.
