Fmla was considered a breakthrough in the sense that it

FMLA was considered a "breakthrough" in the sense that it provided employees protection related to their family. A law with a similar goal has been in place for a bit longer. I wanted to be sure we discussed very important protection afforded women in the workplace. Pregnancy is specifically covered under the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, correct? What is the coverage offered? Also, there are many factions who are arguing that gender changes should also be covered- due to the fact they result from a medical necessity that a person trapped in the wrong gender should have the ability to fix that without losing their job or career opportunities. If someone is gone more than 12 weeks, however, what protections do they have? Does the 12 weeks re-up each year, minder the law? What is the current state of the Law? And can you find cases on gender change being covered (or not?) Let's all do some research
