Fingerprints in blood and other liquids such as paint may appear "reversed." The blood or other liquid is deposited where there are valleys or furrows on the finger, and little or no blood or other liquid may be deposited in the areas corresponding to the ridges. The pressure of the finger against the surface displaces the blood or other liquid from between the tops of the ridges and the surface. In inked fingerprints, on the other hand, the ink is transferred from the top of the ridges to the surface of the fingerprint card. Based on these observations, answer the following:
