Finding out the work done by the gas on the bullet

A bullet of 100g is fired from a rifle having a barrel 0.600 m long. Select the origin to be at the position where the bullet starts to move. Then the force (in Newton) applied by the expanding gas on the bullet is 15000 + 10000x – 25000 x2, where x is in meters.

(i) Find out the work done by the gas on the bullet as the bullet travels the length of the barrel

(ii) What if? When the barrel is 1.00 m long, determine how much work is done?

(iii) Determine how does this value compare with the work computed in part (a)?
