Problem 1: Find a "tort" lawsuit that you think is particularly ridiculous or outrageous. ( not McDonald's case)
Problem 2: Detailed description of the case including who the plaintiff(s) is, who the defendant(s) is, what all of the facts are surrounding the case, and what the plaintiff is/was seeking from the defendant.
Problem 3: Why you think your tort case is particularly ridiculous or outrageous.
Problem 4: If you were the judge in the case, how would you decide the case and why? (if your case has already been decided, discuss whether you agree or disagree with the decision and why and what you would have done differently).
Problem5: Discuss whether you believe that plaintiffs who file ridiculous or outrageous lawsuits should be sanctioned in some way and if so, who would determine whether the lawsuit qualifies as "ridiculous or outrageous" and what should the sanction be?
