An ideal cold air-standard Otto cycle has a compression ratio of 9.2. At the end of the expansion process, the pressure is 110 psi and the temperature is 1020 °R. The heat rejection from the cycle is 92 BTU/lbm of air. Calculate the following by hand: a) Draw the process on P-v and T-s diagrams b) What are the maximum and minimum temperatures of the cycle in °R? c) Calculate the work of the cycle in BTU/lbmm. d) Determine the thermal efficiency of the cycle. e) What is the mean effective pressure (psi)?
