Find the specific entropy generation

Problem

1. Carbon dioxide used as a natural refrigerant flows through a cooler at 10 MPa, which is supercritical, so no condensation occurs. The inlet is at 200oC and the exit is at 40oC. Assume the heat transfer is to the ambient at 20oC and find the specific entropy generation.

2. Saturated liquid nitrogen at 600 kPa enters a boiler at a rate of 0.005 kg/s and exits as saturated vapor. It then flows into a super heater, also at 600 kPa, where it exits at 600 kPa, 280 K. Assume the heat transfer comes from a 300 K source and find the rates of entropy generation in the boiler and the super heater.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
