2. A power plant has an overall thermal efficiency of 40%, receiving 100 MW of heat transfer from hot gases at an average of 1300 K, and rejects heat transfer at 50oC from the condenser to a river at ambient temperature 20oC. Find the rate of both energy and exergy (a) from the hot gases and (b) from the condenser.
