Find someone who is willing to engage you for 15 minutes or

Listen to the presentation on Questioning and also read Chapter 5 in the Hargie and Dickson text. Then:

Find someone who is willing to engage you for 15 minutes or so in a discussion about the issues surrounding the efforts to improve health care in the United States. In the course of your discussion ask at least 3 questions, each of which fits into a different category of: Recall, Process, Affective, Leading, or Probing. The questions can be Closed or Open but there should be at least one of each type (Open or Closed). Make note (mental or otherwise) of the apparent influence on the interaction of each question. Obviously your discussion will involve more than questions, but just make note of your questions and their apparent effects.

A brief description of the conversation. Did it feel like a conflict?

A description (quoting if possible) of each of your questions, along with identification of the type (Recall, Process, Affective, Leading, or Probing) and (Open or Closed).

Discussion of the apparent effect of each question.
