Find significant results of the greco-persian wars

Assignment task:

Explain briefly about the following. One of the most significant results of the Greco-Persian wars was the affirmation of Greek independence. The wars prevented the Persian Empire from incorporating the Greek city-states into their empire, allowing the Greek culture, politics, and philosophies to develop independently. This independence led to the Golden Age of Athens, during which democracy, philosophy, and the arts flourished (Hanson & John, 2009). Another significant result was the rise of the Athenian Empire. After the wars, Athens emerged as the most powerful city-state in Greece. They formed the Delian League, ostensibly to defend against Persian aggression, but it eventually transformed into the Athenian Empire (Rhodes, 2006). These outcomes had a profound impact on the development of Western civilization. Preserving Greek independence ensured the survival and growth of ideas and institutions such as democracy, philosophy, and drama, significantly influencing Western culture and thought.
