Find rate of production of new disorder in quenching process


In a process in which ball bearings are produced, steel ball bearings of 0.9cm diameter are quenched by dropping them at a rate of 1000 per minute into an oil-flow cooler and then removing them. The ball bearings are initially at 800degC and, on removal from the oil, are at 35degC. Oil flows steadily into the cooler at 15degC and leaves at 25degC. If heat is also transferred to the cooler from the surroundings (at 15degC) at 250 KW, find the rate of heat transfer from the ball bearings and the rate of production of new disorder in this quenching process.
