Pay attention to the value you use for k and for the specific heats:

An Otto and Diesel cycle both have initial states at 101 kpa and 25 degrees celcius, and a compression ratio ( v2/v1) of 13 (specific volume). Both also isochorically reject 360 kJ/kg of heat to return to the initial state.

a. Draw the Otto cycle and Diesel cycle on Pv diagrams and Ts diagrams. Don't forget to label the constant properties associated with each process.

b. Find the heat (per mass of air) that is transferred inside during the (1) Otto cycle and (2) the Diesel Cycle?

c. What is the net work (per mass of air) generated in each cycle?

d. Find thermal efficiency of each cycle.
