An adiabatic pump operating a steady state compresses liquid water from an initial condition of p1 = 10 bar and T1=40°C to a final pressure of 120 bar. The mass flow rate of water through the pump is 2 kg/s and the work required to operate the pump is 30 kW.

(a) Calculate the exit enthalpy (kJ/kg) of the water.
(b) Calculate the isentropic efficiency of the pump.
