Find distance between vertex of mirror and filament


If the light source is placed between focus and vertex of the parabolic mirror, rays of light diverge after reflection, whereas if light source is placed outside focus, rays converge after reflection. This is how car headlights can provide the broad beam of light (high beam) from one filament and the narrow beam of light ( low beam) from the second filament. If equation of the cross-sectional view of the parabolic mirror is y^2=20x , where xand y are in centimetres, find distance between vertex of mirror and filament if light rays are to diverge after reflection from mirror?
