Find circular-natural frequency and period for vibrations


The 20g mass is suspeneded from end of the vertical spring having the spring constatnt of 2880 dynes/cm and is permitted to reach equilibrium. It is then set into motion by stretching spring 3 cm from equilibrium position and releasing mass with the initial velocity of 10 cm/sec in downward direction. Determine position of mass at any time t if there is no external force and no air resistance. Find circular frequency, natural frequency and period for vibrations.
