Assignment:
Topic: Each student will choose a topic that has been covered in class this semester. It can be something from the textbook or on anything that we covered in class that was outside material brought in by me. You will need to conduct some research on your selected topic and cite your sources.
Length of Paper/Presentations: Each paper should be 3 to 5 pages in length. All papers must look professional. They need to be double spaced using a font size no larger than 11.
Decide your own research topic that is relative to one of the following:
• Financial products & services
• The financial system
• The role of money in the economy
• Present value and how important it is to understand the concept of the time value of money
• How banks work, and how they make money
• Bank's lending of money, specifically the 4 C's of credit
• What is contained in a credit report, how to read one, and how it impacts lending decisions
• What government's influence is on banking and the economy
• The Federal Reserve System
• Employment and unemployment
• Business Cycles
• The basics of the stock market
