Plot the stock of reserves from January 2008 to the present. Then, look through "Factors Affecting Reserve Balances," and determine what components on the asset side of the Fed's balance sheet were responsible for the increase in the reserve balances that began in late 2008. Finally, plot these asset quantities, and comment on what you see.
