Fcused factories as a form of market development

"Focused factories" as a form of market development ( Basically, a focused factory in health care is a health provider or group that focuses solely on one function (or disease or group of related health problems) in order to perform better and more efficiently in that area. Generally, it is thought of as providing services across multiple markets for one specific disease, such as diabetes, renal disease, or cardiac disease.

What are the benefits to this type of strategy and what are possible criticisms of it? Do you believe focused factories should have a place in health care? Why or why not?
