Factors of centripetal force

Question 1: The tips of the blades in a food blender are moving with a speed of 21 m/s in a circle which has a radius of 0.053 m. How much time does it take for them to make one revolution?

Question 2: A horse races around a circular track in a time of 118 s, with a speed of 17m/s. Determine the radius of the track?

Question 3: Magnetic tape is being spooled from a supply reel to a take-up reel. The tape is moving with a speed of 0.191m/s and the radius of take-up reel is 0.0762 m. Find out the magnitude and direction of the centripetal acceleration of the tape as it is wound on the outer layer of the take-up reel?

Question 4: A race car travels at a constant speed around a circular track whose radius is 2.6 km. If the car goes once around the track in 360 s, determine the magnitude of the centripetal acceleration of the car?

Question 5: A 0.015 kg ball is shot from the plunger of a pinball machine. As of a centripetal force of 0.028 N, the ball follows a circular arc whose radius is 0.25 m. Determine the speed of the ball?

Question 6: A child is twirling a 0.0120 kg ball on a string in a horizontal circle whose radius is 0.100 m. The ball travels about the circle in 0.500 s.

a) Find out the centripetal force acting on the ball.
b) If the speed is doubled, does the centripetal force double? If not by what factor does the centripetal force raise? Why?

Question 7: At what angle must a curve of radius 150 m be banked, thus cars can travel safely at 25m/s devoid of relying on friction?
