This assessment task requires writing a research report which explores the issue of entrepreneurship in an industry which they are interested in or familiar with.
As a minimum this research report should cover:
Part 1: A brief description of the industry sector chosen
Part 2: Coverage of the significant issues facing entrepreneurs in this sector
Part 3: A discussion of the level of entrepreneurial activity in the sector
Part 4: Factors which influence the probability of new venture success
Your research, referencing, and presentation must meet the stringent standards of high level
The report should cover the following:
Knowledge:
K1: Identify and interpret the role and contexts of entrepreneurial activity in society
K2: Define entrepreneurial goals and evaluate the boundaries of entrepreneurial action
K3: Evaluate the critical dimensions of entrepreneurship evaluating why entrepreneurs start new ventures and the assistance needed from external sources in business start-up
Skills:
S1: Communicate the entrepreneurial aspects with reference to commercial enterprises, not-for profit organisations, government or individuals
S2: Define the critical factors in the formation of a successful entrepreneurial enterprise
