Lab Report Homework: Self Design and Simulated Data Points
You are required to design a study, analyse data, generate graphical representation of the data, and prepare a multi-media laboratory report.
It is a 750 words lab report, however it requires you to design a study for example: "Effect of Age and Depth of Processing on Recall" or you can come up with your own psychological model if you are more comfortable with another topic.
The research report should contain the following sections:
a. Introduction: Explains the rationale of the study, including the psychological causal model. It states the hypothesis tested in the study in terms of which model will receive more support from the data. [approximately between 140 and 190 words]
b. Method: Contains the details necessary for another researcher to replicate the study. It includes the subsections "Participants", "Material" "Procedure", "Data Analysis". [approximately between 240 and 290 words]
c. Results: It presents descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Bayesian linear regression and Bayes factors), including graphs. [the graphs are NOT included in the word count] [approximately between 240 and 290 words]
d. Discussion: It indicates which model received more support from the data, whether the hypothesis was supported by the data, and it relates the results of the present study with previous research. It also discusses the limitations of the study and offers suggestions for future research. [approximately between 80 and 130 words]
e. References: A list of the references used in the previous sections. (This part is NOT included in the word count). You must include three references; no more and no less than three.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
