ASSIGNMENT 1 PART I:

Corporal penalty is defined as "physical penalty" and penalty that includes striking somebody. Corporal punishment is frequent in K-12 schools with a fist or a paddle or a pupil with a controller or leather belt across their hands. More severe cases have also been registered in US schools, including the use of a chemical spray and Taser. In 2014, 94% of families with kids aged three to four recorded having their kid spread in the previous year, and 76% of males and 65% of females agreed on the discussion on corporal punishment, particularly in classrooms they say that "A kid sometimes requires a good spanking."

Three reasons that oppose my position on the issue are as follows: For some kids when used in moderation corporal punishment is the suitable disciple. Corporal Punishment establishes clear limitations and motivates school kids to act. Often students choose Corporal Punishment over suspension or detention.

What is interesting is that I always assumed corporal punishment was banned or illegal in the entire U.S. Of course, I was wrong. Currently, nine states permit corporal punishment in public schools, while 31 states ban the practice altogether. Also, the fact that moderate punishment can motivate children to behave in school. Children are better prepared when they know their punishment for misbehavior, to decide for themselves, practice autonomy, and are responsible for their actions.

If the decisions are made, learners often choose corporal punishment, as it does not promptly punish elderly kids by missing classes or other events, or small kids by missing their precious time on a playground.

This idea might be true if there was more study done on corporal punishment. Currently, they don't have any study. Parent's and or guardians are not approving of their children getting punished in school for misbehaving.
