A college student accepted the offer to be an intern with a prestigious accounting firm. The negotiations leading to the offer, as well as the offer itself, were all verbal. The accounting firm's senior partner sent the college student a letter which said, in part:
Welcome to [firm name]. We anticipate having you work with us this summer. Please call me upon you arrival in San Francisco, that we may assist you find suitable accommodations for your stay here.
Explain whether there is a binding contract between the accounting firm and the college student, and if there is adequate proof thereof. Additionally, describe whether the agreement was one which had to have a record evidencing it, or be written.
