In many cases religion can help people in dealing with major life stressors such as natural disaster, illness, loss of loved ones, divorce and serious mental illness show that religion and spirituality are generally helpful to people in coping, on the other hand, some forms of religious and spiritual coping can be more problematic.

I. Introduction
a. State your hypothesis. The hypothesis should be logical and appropriate to the topic you want to research.

b. Discuss the research participants that will be involved in your study, including how they will be selected and how many will be used. [You should begin by describing the group of people you will need to participate in your study.
