Respond to the scenario below in your initial discussion post. Following the scenario you are provided with a series of questions/prompts to address in your post.
A child comes to daycare each morning often wearing the same clothes from the day before, with hair that is all matted. She is rarely dressed appropriately for the weather and does not have a hat, scarf, gloves, etc. The child frequently complains of being hungry and has begun taking snacks from other children in the room. Finally, when asked to bring items from home, the child is often unprepared or says she "forgot."
The child's concerned teacher approaches the director of the daycare center. The director reassures the teacher that she is "overreacting" and reminds the teacher that the child's grandmother is an active participant in the daycare and often volunteers her time.
