Problem

You are a member of a team that has been experiencing persistent conflicts. In particular, the one member, who is a person of color, frequently criticizes the group's decisions and complains about being ignored. The rest of the group members generally work together harmoniously by finding many points of agreement and rapidly settling on their preferred outcomes. People get frustrated when they have to then spend a lot of time trying to convince the last member to agree.

You've enjoyed belonging to the dominant coalition on the team. However, your Optimizing Team Performance course has raised your awareness about how these dynamics might be problematic, and increased your sympathy for the minority member's point-of-view.
