Homeland Security: Ships in transit face threats throughout their voyages, whether from natural events or manmade incidents. Assess the security of ships in transit. Assume that you are a security consultant for a major shipping company. Provide your clients with a written threat assessment that addresses the following:
Explain the types of threats that ship owners and their crews face.
Determine the most likely threats faced and where these threats exist.
Explain how these threats have changed since September 11, 2001.
Provide recommendations for reducing and mitigating these risks.
Support your assessment with at least five scholarly or professional resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Your assessment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
