• Prostitution, and sex work more broadly, is certainly a contentious issue in many societies. Briefly explain the legal status of prostitution in most of the United States today, and share your perspective on whether or not this status should be changed. Which legal approach to prostitution do you support, and why? If you are ambivalent about this issue, feel free to explain why in your response.
• Select a country of your own choice, and then research/explain the laws governing sex work in that country. Students are welcome to focus on prostitution specifically, or may further share laws governing other forms of sex work in that nation.
• "The Long Night" is a powerful film examining the trafficking of youth into the sex trade. Identify and explain two aspects of the film that you found most affecting, interesting, surprising, or important to your understanding of this subject.
