Talk about the general health status of the country. What does the public think of their own health or/& about the health provisions they have. Tie this assessment to the overall problems of each of your group member.
POLICY DEVELOPMENT (YOU WORK INDIVIDUALLY)
Say Group 1 has 3 students (Student A, Student B, Student C). Every student will have 1 overall problem, and 2 specific problems EACH!
Therefore, Group 1 will have 3 overall problems and 6 specific problems in total.
Eg: STUDENT A - OVERALL PROBLEM A (COPD)
Explain to your reader why you chose COPD. Provide data to support your choice. Data must be related to: Morbidity, Mortality and Cost
(What is the country spending on COPD at present, how many people are dying, etc.).
SPECIFIC PROBLEM A 1 (Specific problems are directly related to your overall problem and tell you why your overall problem. They result in causing the overall problem.)
• Increased Hospitalization Costs related to COPD due to Lack of Access to Primary Care. So, lack of access to primary care is your Specific problem A1.

• Provide 2 primary care visits (with no cost share) to all American citizens.

• There are approximately 300 million peoplewho will qualify.
• Given the purchasing power of the government, the group estimates the cost of aprimary care visit at approximately $20.
• The price of your plan will be approximately $12,000,000,000.
What will be the benefits of your policy? Will there be a reduction in hospitalizations due to COPD? - You can find this data from previous researches - CDC, WHO, etc.
