This assignment should meet the following learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Project Management Principles including how to define the project.
2. Evaluate the strategies and understand the constraints necessary when designing the project process.
3. Be able to deploy the necessary techniques, and use objective decision making to deliver the project within a pre-defined resource base.
The Essay:
As a business project management student, you are expected to understand the project planning process, make decisions based on techniques and strategic tools and deploy the necessary techniques to achieve the over-all goal of the project. In view of this, you can take any construction or manufacturing based company in Oman and you should provide the details that show your knowledge, critical thinking, and application of theories and principles in practice. As such, you are required to answer the following questions:
1. Briefly explain your business project considering the following:
(i) Meaning of Project Management
(ii) Concept of BPM (Time, Cost & Quality)
(iii) Overview of your project.
(iv) Project life cycle (4 P's).
2. Explain the time management plan and create a crthcal path diagram showing the critical path.
3. Show your cost plan with calculation of estimated profit. Do the(competitor analysis‘by using Payback Period Method.
4. What do you mean by W13S? Explain the WBS chart of your project.
5. What do you mean by communication process? Prepare a tabular plan showing the Communication process and what is needed to be changed in the future?
