As educators you often reflect back to our own childhood and educational experiences to help develop our practices. As you reflect on our own school experiences, items such as smart phones, iPads, and even computers were not a part of our daily school routine. This may be part of the reason why early childhood educators are often slow to add technology into their own practices.
Refer back to one of your favorite school activities. If technology of any kind was a part of this activity, share what it was. Forecast how that same activity could be enhanced by the use of today's technology advances. Explain the similarities and differences of early learning activities you took part in as a child versus the early learning activities offered to children today.
