On the way, it was noticed that the 8-year-old boy is having fever, headache and his head was tilting to the right in addition there was some form of rash on his hands and feet. Their father was feeling very fatigued with flu like symptoms and a rash beginning to develop at the hands and some areas of his feet. The other two members of the family were doing very well. Upon arrival to the USA both the child and the father were admitted to the hospital. A spinal tap reflected the presences of Neisseria meningitidis in their CSF. The rash has spread more in the 8-year-old but it is no longer showing on his father. They have all been vaccinated against this bacterium.
